Dr. David Gaseor first met and began training with his teacher Grandmaster Fu Wei Zhong in 2008 while studying Physical Therapy in Northern California.  Later he deepened his understanding of Emei Qigong by formally studying Eastern Medicine and received first his Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine and later his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine while learning how to use Qigong clinically.  In 2019 after years of practice and an intensive month-long training with Grandmaster Fu, David was accepted by him as a senior student and honored to be selected as a 14th generation Emei teacher.  David is humbled and grateful to have been one of the last few students outside of China Grandmaster Fu trained to this high level.  With a background in teaching at the graduate level and the experience of treating patients in clinic, Dr. Gaseor aims to fulfill the desire and direction of the previous lineage holders of Emei Linji Baiyun Zong to, “return qigong to the people.”  To that end, David has taught classes around the country, around the world, and online, and is further focusing on ways that Emei Qigong can do the most good in our current medical systems through volunteer work (what Grandmaster calls, “the religious way”).  Dr. Gaseor believes like the Masters before him that qigong should be accessible to all and has committed his work to that end.  “Xin” is the Chinese word for “Heart” and “Paz” in Spanish means “Peace”; a high aspiration of cultivation is to have a “peaceful heart”.  That sentiment and goal of global inclusiveness and interconnectedness drives David’s work providing paid trainings and continuing education through Xin Paz Healing International XPHI (pronounced “ex-pie”) and volunteer services through a 501c3 non-profit Xin Paz Outreach XPO (pronounced “ex-po”).  Dr. Gaseor is passionate about finding innovative ways to help spread Emei Qigong through collaboration and research and do his part to carry on the vision and legacy of Grandmaster Fu and the previous lineage holders.
